Go get your sabbath back !
As I was studying the Word of God tonight, the Lord showed me something in this passage that deeply convicted me. “They must realize that the Sabbath is the Lord’s gift to you. That is why he gives you a two-day supply on the sixth day, so there will be enough for two days. On the Sabbath day you must each stay in your place. Do not go out to pick up food on the seventh day.” Exodus 16:29 (NLT) Notice what God says: “The Sabbath is the Lord’s gift to you.” The Sabbath was nev

Today was a chill day .. Perspectives Matter.
My wife just came and sat next to me and said something that made my whole day. She smiled and said, “Today was such a chill day.” Now, let me give you some context. Mocked into a Blessing
Mocked Right Into a Blessing Jesus makes a statement in Matthew 5 that challenges our natural reactions and reshapes our understanding of persecution: “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all kinds of evil things against you because you are my followers. Be happy about it. Be very glad. For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.” Matthew 5:11–12 (NLT) This passage c

Chosen for Salvation, Not Wrath
Chosen for Salvation, Not Wrath Yesterday, after a very long day, I came home and began catching up on the news while talking with my parents. As I processed what was happening in the world and reflected on some of what had transpired throughout my day, I felt anger rising within me. The deception, the greed, and the demonic, selfish agendas that seem to consume so many people felt overwhelming. My prayer was honest and unfiltered. I said, “God, deal with them all. And if the
